Manufacturing

Manufacturing is a term from the classification of economic sectors of the German official statistics of the Federal Statistical Office .

The manufacturing industry included in the systematics of the branches of the manufacturing industry in the European Communities (NICE) - a forerunner of the statistical systematics of the economic sectors in the European Community (NACE) - the areas of mining , energy industry , manufacturing and construction , in the WZ 1970 areas 1–3 (energy industry and water supply , mining; manufacturing; construction ).

The definition of the manufacturing industry tries to represent the secondary sector of an economy .
