An English gentleman, professor of archeology at Gressenheller University in London, puzzle lover and eponymous figure. As can be seen in Professor Layton and Pandora's Box , he is also skilled in hand-to-hand combat and is a master at the art of fencing. He can also play the piano, as seen in the film Professor Layton and the Eternal Diva .
The second protagonist of the game. Luke, a boy of 13, is Layton's loyal apprentice and assistant in his research. Course of the games

The aim of the games is to solve the great mystery of the respective part by solving puzzles. Here, the residents of the village pose puzzles that sometimes have to be solved in order to get further or to get hints or other useful things (e.g. for mini-games). You can also collect well-hidden hint coins for tips. Basically, the games begin with the journey to the place where the plot takes place, or someone who puts it on the trail. As you advance further and further into the story of the game, you gradually come across more secrets, which are also resolved as the story progresses. At the end of each part there is an unexpected twist that explains and concludes the story.

Movie

The game series was filmed as an anime called Professor Layton and the Eternal Diva , directed by Masakazu Kubo , who is known for the Pokémon films, and animated by the studios PA Works and OLM Team Kamei . The film has its own plot and takes place after the events of Call of the Phantom . The eponymous diva is spoken by Nana Mizuki .

The film premiered in Japan on December 19, 2009. The film was released on DVD and Blu-ray Disc on October 22, 2010 by the German DVD label Kazé .
