Rüdiger Falksohn

Rüdiger Falksohn (* 1951 in Nienborstel ) is a German author and journalist.

Life

Falksohn attended the Steinbart grammar school in Duisburg and studied sociology in Marburg and Bielefeld. After graduating, he volunteered at the Westfalen-Blatt , then worked as an editor at Golf Magazin in Hamburg and from 1981 headed the report and travel departments of the national evangelical weekly newspaper Deutsches Allgemeine Sonntagsblatt .

In 1988 he switched to Spiegel , where he initially wrote about sports and social issues. In 1994 he was appointed editor-in-chief of the monthly magazine Spiegel special, at the same time as chief editor. In 1999 he moved to the international department of Spiegel and was in particular responsible for reporting from Asia and Australia as well as for cross-border structural issues and various cover stories.

Falk son lives with his wife, the former Romanistin and time -author Christiane Schott, in Cuxhaven on the Elbe estuary.
