Rüdiger Vaas

Rüdiger Vaas (* 1966 in Stuttgart ) is a German science journalist and has been the full-time editor of the magazine Bild der Wissenschaft for the fields of astronomy and physics since 2000 . He studied biology , German , linguistics and philosophy in Hohenheim , Stuttgart and Tübingen and, as a philosopher, deals with questions of cosmology , natural philosophy , scientific and epistemological theory , neurophilosophy and anthropology .

Vaas is a member of the scientific advisory board of the Giordano Bruno Foundation . Since 1983, he has regularly contributed accompanying popular science articles and reports to the science fiction series Perry Rhodan , but also to the yearbook Das Science Fiction Jahr . Since 2010 and issue 124, he has been primarily responsible for and as the successor to Hartmut Kasper, the Perry-Rhodan-Journal, a bimonthly supplement to the magazine series. It contains articles with a focus on basic physics , as well as astronomy and cosmology and deals with topics that are close to science fiction, such as particularly promising technology or the search for extraterrestrial life .
