Raßdorf is the smallest district of the municipality Wildeck in the district of Hersfeld-Rotenburg in the northeast of Hesse .
Geographical location
Raßdorf lies on the southern edge of the Richelsdorf Mountains . The Heiligenberg is located on the Hessian-Thuringian border . Raßdorf is traversed by the Suhl , a western tributary of the consecration .
history
Raßdorf was mentioned for the first time in 1538. At that time it belonged to the Thuringian office of Gerstungen ( Duchy of Saxony-Eisenach ). The places Bosserode , Raßdorf and Suss were affiliated by contract to the Baumbach court of Nentershausen in the Hessian office of Sontra in 1733 after Landgrave Friedrich von Hessen dropped his claims to the office of Hausbreitenbach , which was administered jointly with Sachsen-Eisenach . a. the three places received from the Gerstungen office.
On December 31, 1971, the new community of Wildeck was newly formed through the merger of Raßdorf with four other communities.

- Ruin of the Jagdschloss Blumenstein , successor to the medieval Wildeck Castle , which was once built on the same site

The Thuringian Railway passes south of Raßdorf, to the north runs the state road 3251 and beyond it the federal motorway 4 - between the motorway junctions Wildeck- Hönebach and Wildeck- Obersuhl .
