Radio Gloria is a private radio broadcaster in Switzerland that is expressly oriented towards the teaching post of the Roman Catholic Church .

Radio Gloria wants to address not only Catholics, but also those who are far from the Church. Radio Gloria works with other Catholic media for its program. In addition to the in-house productions, broadcasts from Radio Horeb , Radio Vatican , K-TV and Kirche in Not are taken over . Radio Gloria broadcast for the first time on the occasion of Pope John Paul II's visit to Switzerland on June 1, 2004 for one month on two VHF frequencies. The program was also disseminated via local cable networks. The first broadcast studio was located in the Capuchin convent Gerlisberg above the city of Lucerne.

Since it was not possible to obtain a permanent license for broadcasting on VHF, Radio Gloria broadcast in the following years with a license for a short radio event for 30 days from different locations in Central Switzerland.

In December 2007, the radio was able to move into a permanent studio in Baldegg Abbey . An Internet livestream was added to the broadcasts via FM and cable networks. From 2008, Radio Gloria will broadcast a year-round program on Astra digital satellite (19.2 degrees east), throughout Switzerland in the cable network and on the Internet. The program has also been broadcast on DAB + since 2016 . Radio Gloria continues to use the opportunity to obtain a license for short radio events at annual intervals for 30 days in order to broadcast on VHF.
