Ralph Kent-Cooke

Ralph Kent-Cooke (born April 29, 1937 , † September 11, 1995 ) was an American car racing driver and racing team owner and the son of Jack Kent Cooke .

Racing career

In addition to his work as a racing team owner, Kent-Cooke was also active as a racing driver for several years. His first international race in the World Sportscar Championship in 1979 scoring six-hour race at Riverside . Together with Tom Frank , he finished the race in a Chevrolet Monza in 24th place overall. His greatest success as a driver was second overall in the Sebring 12-hour race in 1981 .

Racing team owner

The Kent-Cooke racing team was best known in North America as the Lola T600 and T610 team in the IMSA GTP series . At the beginning of the 1980s, he formed a racing team for the Lola racing cars with Roy Woods for a few years under the name Cooke Woods Racing . 1981 won Brian Redman with the T600, the first IMSA GTP championship.
