Ralph Kunz (born November 10, 1964 in Bülach ) is a Swiss Protestant Reformed pastor and has been a professor of practical theology at the University of Zurich since 2004 with a focus on homiletics , liturgy and poimenics .

Life

Kunz grew up as the son of a banker with his three brothers in Dielsdorf . From 1985 to 1991 he studied Protestant theology at the Universities of Basel , Los Angeles and Zurich. He completed the vicariate with pastor Alfred Aeppli in Burgdorf in Bern . From 1992 to 1996 he was assistant to Werner Kramer . In 1997, Kunz has been working Koinonia as a form principle of community doctorate and immediately appointed subsequently to the senior assistant.

Kunz completed his habilitation on the subject of Protestant Reformed worship in 2001 at the University of Bonn . After that, he was responsible for the church development department at the Zurich regional church for a year . 2001 to 2002 he worked as a pastor in Seuzach . Since 2004, Ralph Kunz has been full professor for practical theology with a focus on homiletics , liturgy and poetry at the theological faculty of the University of Zurich . He mainly researches new forms of worship and religion-related gerontology . He sees himself as a Christian in the biblical tradition. In 2014 he was on the jury for the German-language Swiss Sermon Prize. In front of executives he spoke about their social responsibility, he pleaded for social inclusion so that the weaker are integrated into the economy and society and not excluded.

Private

Kunz is married and has two daughters, they live in Winterthur .
