The Reesberg is 851 m above sea level. NN high mountain in the Rhön in Hesse ( Germany ).
Geographical location
The Reesberg is located in the Wildflecken military training area in the Hessian part near the border with Bavaria and is therefore mostly not open to the public. There used Kippelbach at his mountainside. The nearest larger town is Gersfeld about 4 km north.
Mountain description
As part of the Dammersfeld ridge, the Reesberg is of basaltic origin. It is half eroded by basalt mining.
