Pure Goldberg
Reiner Goldberg (born October 17, 1939 in Crostau , Oberlausitz ) is a German opera singer ( tenor ).
Life
After studying singing at the Carl Maria von Weber Academy of Music in Dresden , Goldberg made his debut at the State Theaters of Saxony in Radebeul in 1967 . Another station was the Saxon State Opera in Dresden from 1973 before the Heldentenor became a member of the ensemble of the Berlin State Opera in 1981 .
Since the beginning of the eighties Goldberg has made guest appearances with almost all important tenor roles in Richard Wagner's operas in the leading opera houses in Europe as well as at the New York Metropolitan Opera . a. at the Vienna State Opera , the Bayreuth Festival and under Herbert von Karajan at the Easter Festival in Salzburg .
In 1985 he was awarded the National Prize of the GDR III. Honored class for arts and literature.
