Reinhardt Fengler (born February 5, 1957 ) is a former German ice hockey player who played for SC Dynamo Berlin and the GDR national team for years . He is also a member of the Hockey Hall of Fame Germany .

Career

Reinhardt Fengler began his professional career in 1974 at SC Dynamo Berlin in the GDR league . For the Spreestädter, the defender was on the ice for a total of 18 seasons and won twelve GDR championships with the club. He completed 229 games and scored 40 goals.

After the political change , the 1.75 meter tall player was in the squad of the newly founded EHC Dynamo Berlin until 1992 and moved to the then 2nd League South for ETC Crimmitschau in the 1994/95 season . There he rose with the team in the Hacker Pschorr League and was elected team captain in the next season . After the 1996/97 season , the former national player ended  his active career after a falling out with the then manager of the ETC -  Peter Kolbe . He wore the West Saxony jersey 107 times and scored 21 goals and 50 assists.

International

Fengler was already a year after starting his career with SC Dynamo Berlin in the squad of the GDR national team and was group winners with his team on his debut during the B World Cup in 1975 and rose to the A group. In his career, Fengler made a total of 250 national team appearances.
