Reinhart Staats

Reinhart Staats (born February 8, 1937 in Braunschweig ) is a German Protestant church historian . He was a professor of church history at the Christian Albrechts University in Kiel .

Life

After attending school in Braunschweig , Königslutter and Ölmevalla (Sweden), he passed the Abitur at the Braunschweig Wilhelm Gymnasium in 1957 . He completed his theology studies (1957–1962) at the University of Tübingen , the ecclesiastical university Berlin-Zehlendorf and the University of Göttingen in 1962 with the first theological examination at the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Braunschweig . From 1962 to 1965 he was a repetitionist at the theological faculty in Göttingen . He completed the vicariate in Walkenried in 1965 with the second theological exam from the Evangelical Lutheran regional church in Braunschweig. In 1965 he became "De Instituto Christiano" with Hermann Dörries with the work The Tract of Gregory of Nyssa. Proof of its dependence on the Great Letter of Symeon of Mesopotamia doctorate .
