Relaxin receptor
Relaxin receptors are a group of G protein-coupled receptors to which the peptide hormone relaxin binds. There are four of these relaxin family peptide receptors : RXFP1–4.
- RXFP1 (Syn. LGR7) binds with relaxin 1, 2 and 3 and activates adenylyl cyclases , protein kinase A , protein kinase C , phosphoinositide-3-kinases and extracellular-signal-regulated kinases .
- RXFP2 (Syn. LGR8) binds with relaxin 1 and 2 as well as with insulin-like 3 and activates adenylyl cyclases.
- RXFP3 and RXFP4 bind with relaxin 3 and inhibit adenylyl cyclases.
