Remember Twilight ( dt. Mutatis mutandis "reminiscent Twilight") is a violin - rock band from Stuttgart , the influences of folk-rock and chamber music combined. The band itself describes their style as "chamber music core" because of the harder orientation.

history

According to the band's own information, the band name has existed since 1997.

Over the years, the band gained a growing audience as the opening act on tours of well-known bands such as Waltari , Haggard or Coppelius , as well as concerts with Die Apokalyptischen Reiter , Battlelore , Tanzwut or Korpiklaani, and thus also widening media attention.

With producer Alexander Krull they recorded their debut album Zerrissen 2004, which was re-released on April 20, 2005 on the Rabazco Records label. The second album was preceded by an EP called Der Tolle Mensch in 2007. On April 23, 2010 , the second album, produced by Markus Stock , was finally released with the name Musik über Niedergang & Verderben . In his sound forge, the band also recorded their EP Journey into Uncertainty , which was released in 2013.

style

Hard guitar riffs are combined with string sounds. The singing is extremely variable, but above all it is characterized by spoken vocals. The sound is partly reminiscent of earlier works by bands such as last instance and Regicide .

On the one hand, the band lyrically thematizes the gray areas of human existence, crises of meaning, self-doubt and the search for one's own place within the world. In addition, the real madness that surrounds us is also addressed - partly with the inclusion of references to philosophy, cultural history or economic theories, such as in the song In the Long Run , which takes up John Maynard Keynes ' dictum In the Long Run We Are All Dead .
