René Verzier

René Verzier (* 1934 in Casablanca ) is a Canadian cameraman.

Life

René Verzier was born in Morocco and spent his youth there. He worked as a court photographer for the Moroccan royal palace. In 1966 he emigrated to Canada and initially worked as a cameraman for documentary film productions, and from 1969 also for feature films. Few of the films in which he was in charge of the camera got above average importance, but in some cases, like the Asphalt Kid , his contribution was recognized by the critics (“[...] action film that gains a certain charm through ... the atmospheric photography "). In the last years of his career, Verzier also worked increasingly for television.
