Respondeat Superior

Respondeat Superior ( Latin: 'the superior should answer') describes in the law of England and Wales' a legal institution that emerged in the 17th century, in which a master or employer ( e.g. , 'employer' ) is responsible for torts ( e.g. ' offenses ') People (servants and employees) are liable. It is similar to the different types of assistant liability in the German legal system.
