The Rhein-Haardtbahn GmbH , abbreviated RHB , is a German railway company , based in Rhineland-Palatinate, Bad Durkheim . The company, founded in 1911, has been a railway infrastructure company on the Bad Dürkheim – Ludwigshafen-Oggersheim line from the start . Originally it was also the sole railway company on this electrically operated narrow-gauge railway , on which freight traffic was also operated until October 31, 1959 . The RHB trains went beyond their main route to the Mannheim / Ludwigshafen tram network , where they - unlike on their main route, on which the railway building and operating regulations for narrow-gauge railways still apply today - as a tram according to the tram Building and operating regulations were underway. The abbreviation RHB also served as a line designation. As a private railway , the RHB is also integrated into the tariff association of the federal and non-federal railways in Germany (TBNE).

On March 1, 2005, Rhein-Neckar-Verkehr GmbH (RNV), founded in 2004, took over the operational business of RHB. The RNV is a joint subsidiary of RHB and other transport companies in the Rhine-Neckar area. The RHB vehicles also went to RNV as part of the capital contribution; since October 1, 2009, the infrastructure on the RHB route has also been maintained by RNV.
