Rheinbote (newspaper)

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Rhein-Bote was the larger of the two Düsseldorf advertising papers . It had an ADA-certified circulation of around 296,800 copies and was distributed free of charge to Düsseldorf households and businesses every week.

The Rhein-Bote had an editorial section of an average of 20 to 24 pages, in which local events (local politics, culture, scene, local sport, district events, etc.) were reported, as well as an event calendar. In addition, classifieds and advertisements were published. The Rhein-Bote was published by the Funke media group .

While the Düsseldorfer Anzeiger is distributed in the central parts of the city, especially in the east and south of the city, the Rhein-Bote was distributed equally throughout the city.

A spokesman for the Funke media group confirmed to the Düsseldorf online magazine report-D in May 2019 that the print edition of the Rhein-Bote will be discontinued in June 2019 after around 30 years.
