The Rheinisch-Westphalian State Prize for Monument Preservation is a state award from the State of North Rhine-Westphalia in the field of monument preservation . The monument protection prize is endowed with 7,000 euros and is awarded annually to an applicant in a festive event . The award takes place annually, one year in the area of ​​the Rhineland Regional Association , the following year in the Westphalia-Lippe Regional Association . A jury consisting of a representative of the Ministry of Building, Housing, Urban Development and Transport of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia , the state curator of the respective landscape association as well as representatives of the private monument owners, the churches, the lower monument authorities , the Rhenish Association for Monument Preservation and Landscape Protection or of the Westphalian Heimatbund , universities and cultural journalists, selects the winner from the applications.
