Richard Bull

Richard Bull (born June 26, 1924 in Zion , Illinois - † February 3, 2014 in Calabasas , California ) was an American actor . He appeared in almost 100 television productions. His best-known portrayal is that of Nels Oleson in the series Our Little Farm .

life and career

Bull began his career as a stage actor in Chicago just before World War II . Before he took part in Our Little Farm , he played from 1964 to 1968 in Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea the 'Doc' on the submarine “Seaview”. After the end of the Little Farm, Bull took part in a number of series and, as a friend of Michael Landon, got roles in many of his productions, including Landon's last TV film from 1990, Where Pigeons Go to Die . He also appeared in numerous commercials due to his soft voice .

Richard Bull was married to the actress Barbara Collentine (* 1924) from 1948 until his death. In 2000, the couple starred together in the Canadian film A Day in a Life . Bull lived with his wife in Chicago and apart from acting he also worked as a painter. He died on February 3, 2014 California Calabasas at a pneumonia .
