Richard Wunderer

Richard Wunderer (* 1947 near Vienna ; † 2009 near Cologne ) was an Austrian writer who used the pseudonyms Larry Harper , Andrew Hathaway and Bob Collins , among others .

life and work

The son of the youth and non-fiction author Richard Wunderer (1926-2015) grew up in Vienna, the Matura took off and studied Jus to make without a degree. From 1972 he lived in Cologne and was briefly an editor at Bastei-Verlag .

From the early 1970s he wrote several hundred booklets of novels in the genres of romance, crime, homeland and doctor novels, princely and aristocratic novels, horror and fantasy, including contributions to series such as silver crime , Jerry Cotton , Checkpart , John Sinclair , Zeitkugel , Geister Crime thriller and ghost crime thriller .

The London private detective Rick Masters , who was invented by him, had his own sub-series at Kelter Verlag from 1974 to 1984 within the ghost crime thrillers and other booklet series of the publisher (a total of 89 booklets and paperbacks, reprints from 1995).

1974–1976 ran the Monstrula series . Of the 46 issues, Wunderer wrote 45, one of them with a co-author.

His novels have also appeared under the publishing pseudonyms Frederic Collins , Frank DeLorca , Brian Elliot and MR Richards . He also translated paperbacks from the American (including Kojak novels) and wrote paperbacks for TV series (including Das Traumschiff ).

He lived as a freelance writer and editor near Cologne.
