Rick Aviles

Rick Aviles (born October 14, 1952 in New York City , New York , † March 17, 1995 in Los Angeles , California ) was an American stand-up comedian and actor . Aviles' parents immigrated to the United States from Puerto Rico in the late 1940s to lead a better life. They lived in Manhattan until he was born .

Career

In the 1970s and 80s, Rick worked as a stand-up comedian at the Greenwich Village nightclub in New York. In 1981 Aviles got the role of Mad Dog in the action comedy Hell's Loose On Highway, starring alongside Burt Reynolds , Roger Moore and Dean Martin .

In 1987 Aviles starred in two major films. He was in front of the camera next to Michael J. Fox for the film The Secret of My Success and then he was seen with Christopher Reeve and Morgan Freeman in the film Glitzernder Asphalt . He had his biggest role in the film Ghost - Message from Sam alongside Patrick Swayze , Demi Moore and Whoopi Goldberg as Willie Lopez .

He starred twice alongside Al Pacino in a film, The Godfather - Part III by director Francis Ford Coppola and Carlito's Way by Brian De Palma . Aviles then got a role in the television series of Stephen King's film adaptation, The Stand , before playing the porter at Waterworld alongside Kevin Costner . In the Original Version , he gave the cockroaches his voice in Joe's Apartment .
