Rive north
Rive-Nord (English North Shore ), also known as Couronne Nord (“northern rim”), is the collective term for the northern suburbs of Montreal . They are located in the southwest of the province of Québec on the north bank of the rivers Rivière des Prairies and Rivière des Mille Îles , opposite the islands of Île de Montréal (with Montreal) and Île Jésus (with Laval ). The region comprises 20 municipalities in the Laurentides and Lanaudière administrative regions .
