Robert C. Davis

Robert Charles Davis (* 1948 ) is an American historian .

Davis received his PhD from Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore , Maryland in 1989 . He teaches at Ohio State University and made various studies on the early modern social history of Italy .

Among other things, he deals with the slave trade in the Islamic world , including the slave trade in the Mediterranean region . He also made an estimate of the scope.
