Robert Münzing

Paul Robert Münzing (born January 11, 1844 in Flein ; † August 8, 1902 there ) was a German farmer and politician ( VP ). From 1895 until his death he was a member of the Chamber of Deputies of the Württemberg Land estates .

Life

Münzing was the son of the Fleiner farmer and mayor Heinrich Münzing and Luise Wörner. He had 16 siblings. Until 1852 he attended the elementary school in Flein, then until 1858 the Karlsgymnasium in Heilbronn . After training in agriculture on his parents 'farm and internships abroad in 1865 and 1866, he worked again on his parents' farm until 1871. In the same year he married the widow Johanna Caroline Müller, born in 1833. Kern, and was then a farmer and vineyard operator in Flein.

Münzing, who was a member of the liberal People's Party , belonged to the Fleiner municipal council and the local school council. In the state elections in 1895, he ran for office in the Heilbronn constituency and was able to prevail in the runoff election against the DP candidate Karl Mayer . In the Chamber of Deputies, he belonged to changing commissions. In the 1900 election he ran again in the same constituency and was again able to prevail in the runoff election, this time against the SPD candidate Wilhelm Schäffler . The by-election on October 28, 1902, which was required after Münzing's early death , was then won by Schäffler.
