Robin Fryday

Robin Fryday (* in Chicago ) is an American filmmaker of documentaries that in the Academy Awards in 2012 for her film The Barber of Birmingham: Foot Soldier of the Civil Rights Movement , together with Gail Dolgin for the Oscar in the category Best Short Documentary was nominated.

Life

Robin Fryday grew up in Chicago and moved to California . She has two children.

Before starting her film career, Fryday worked as a photographer.

She is the co-founder of the Bay Area Heart Gallery , an association of photographers and adoption agencies to help disadvantaged children.
