Robin S.
Robin S. (born April 27, 1962 in Queens , New York City ; full name Robin Stone ) is an American pop singer .
Career
She became known in the 1990s with hits like Show Me Love , Luv 4 Luv , Midnight and It Must Be Love . The New Yorker got a 1993 recording deal with Big Beat Record. Her first album Show Me Love climbed the charts that same year. The success earned her an appearance at the American Music Awards in 1994 .
After a short break from songwriting, she began working on her second album with producers like Eric E-Smoove Miller and Todd Terry . In 1997 the second album From Now On was released , which contained influences from gospel, ballads and dance music. The first single "It Must Be Love" was a big hit. The second album From Now On sold a total of 100,000 times in the United States.
In 2008 a remix of the song Show Me Love was released, this rose to number 13 in the Netherlands and climbed to number two two weeks later; this was also the highest position. He was also able to enter the Belgian charts, but never made it into the top 20.
Show Me Love has been covered by many musicians such as Clean Bandit , DJ Antoine , Michael Mind and Sean Finn. He also formed the basis for Jason Derulo's Don't Wanna Go Home .
