Roland Dähler (born May 31, 1961 ) is a Swiss politician and lives in Appenzell . He is non-party.

Life

Roland Dähler grew up with three siblings in Appenzell. After completing his training as an electronics technician and various further training courses in the areas of corporate management, marketing and IT, he took over Optimatik AG on October 1, 1990. The company is a provider of software solutions for energy supply companies and employs around 40 people at its two locations in Teufen and Yverdon-les-Bains .

Roland Dähler's political career began in 1995 as a member and from 1999 as President of the fire show community of Appenzell (town) . From 1996 to 2003 he was a member of the Great Council of Appenzell Innerrhoden , where he first worked in the Commission for Social Affairs, Health, Education and later in the State Economic Commission. From 2010 to 2018 he was a member of the bank council of Appenzeller Kantonalbank . At the Landsgemeinde 2018 he was elected to the cantonal court .

On April 28, 2019, the Landsgemeinde in Appenzell elected him to a government councilor and dormant Landammann . He is head of the Department of Economic Affairs.

Dähler is married, has four grown children and lives in Appenzell.
