Rolf Kutzmutz (born September 1, 1947 in Lützen ) is a German politician ( SED , PDS , Die Linke ). He was an SED functionary and an unofficial employee of the Ministry for State Security . From 1994 to 2002 he was a member of the German Bundestag .

education and profession

After attending the Polytechnic High School , Kutzmutz obtained his Abitur in 1966 at the Extended High School with simultaneous professional training as a mechanical engineer ( locksmith ). From 1966 to 1969 he was a temporary soldier with the NVA for three years . Then he worked as a labor economist in the VVB water supply and wastewater treatment until 1974 . At the same time he studied from 1972 to 1977 at the Berlin School of Economics with a degree in economics. From 1982 to 1986 he completed his studies at the Karl Marx party college in Berlin, which he completed as a social scientist.

Political party

Kutzmutz became a member of the SED in 1967 . In 1974 he moved from business to become Secretary for Agriculture in the FDJ district leadership in Potsdam. From 1979 to 1989 he was department head / secretary for economics in the SED district leadership in Potsdam. In addition, from 1982 to 1988 Kutzmutz was a member of the IG Metall district board of the FDGB . From October 1989 he was the first secretary of the SED district leadership and led the party organization during the time of transition and peaceful revolution and the transformation to the PDS . From 1990 to 2003 he was chairman of the PDS district association in Potsdam.

In 1993, Kutzmutz ran as the first PDS candidate for the office of Lord Mayor of Potsdam . In the first ballot, with 45% of the votes, he had a lead of around 16% or 10,000 votes over the incumbent and SPD candidate Horst Gramlich , but after his Stasi involvement was revealed in the runoff election , again with 45% of the votes, could not prevail. In 1994 Kutzmutz was a co-founder of the PDS-affiliated medium- sized company association OWUS Berlin-Brandenburg e. V., of which he was also chairman from 1997 to 2005. From 1990 to 2014 Kutzmutz was a member of the Potsdam city ​​council . From 1994 to 2002 Kutzmutz was a member of the German Bundestag . Here he was the economic policy spokesman for the PDS group and, from 1998, the parliamentary group . He was also a member of the Bundestag committees for business and sport. From January 2002 he was Parliamentary Managing Director of the PDS parliamentary group, after having been Deputy Parliamentary Managing Director from 1998 to 2002. Kutzmutz entered the Bundestag in 1994 and 1998 via the Brandenburg State List . In the federal elections in 2005 and 2009 he was defeated as a direct candidate to the SPD candidate Andrea Wicklein .

Unofficial employee of the State Security

From December 1971 to July 1973, Kutzmutz worked under the code name Rudolf as an unofficial employee of the Ministry for State Security. He had signed his declaration of commitment on December 9, 1971. The district administration (BV) Potsdam of the Ministry for State Security, Department II , kept a file to Rolf Kutzmutz under the registration number IV / 806/71, which consisted of two parts. Part I, the so-called personnel file , was kept in the period from September 2, 1971 to August 8, 1974. It contains 93 pages written on. Part II, the so-called work file with 42 written pages, began on January 17, 1972 and also ended on August 8, 1974. Both parts were archived under the number 1460/74. The Federal Commissioner submitted copies of these files to the 1st Committee, largely in full, ie some of them blacked out.

Kutzmutz delivered three reports with general information to the MfS. This saw the collaboration with him as hopeless and ended it without informing him about it. When his collaboration became known in 1993, he publicly displayed a copy of his file in the town hall. He said that at the time he “actually found the suppression mechanisms to be not that bad”.

Private

Kutzmutz is married and has two sons and a daughter. Since February 27, 2015 he has been President of the 1st FFC Turbine Potsdam .
