Roman Runkel

Roman Runkel (* 1961 ) is a German restaurateur and has been one of the "dealers" at Bares für Rares since January 2020 .

Life

Around 1985 Runkel ran a restaurant in Koblenz; Since 2006 he has been running a restaurant and a colonial store as managing director on the site of the former Steffens brewery (now the old brewery in the Kasbachtal ) near Kasbach near Linz on the Rhine .

Runkel is a collector of old objects related to circus and fairgrounds as well as food and drink . His collection of historical advertising signs and cans is the largest such publicly accessible collection in Germany. Since January 2020 Runkel occurs in "trading room" of the ZDF telecast Bares for Rares on.
