Ronald Spuller (born June 22, 1981 ) is an Austrian football player in the position of a striker and offensive all-rounder . From 2008 to 2014 he played for SV Mattersburg in the Austrian Bundesliga .

Career

Spuller began his active career as a football player in 1989 at the age of eight with SV Forchtenstein in Burgenland . He stayed with the club until 2002 before moving to SC Neudörfl . In 2004 he returned to Forchtenstein . For the 2008/09 season he switched to the amateur team of Bundesliga club SV Mattersburg . Spuller celebrated his debut for the Mattersburg amateurs in the Regionalliga Ost on August 1, 2008 in a 3-0 away win against FC Waidhofen an der Ybbs , in which he also scored his first goal.

The good performance among the amateurs drew the attention of Franz Lederer , the current coach of Mattersburg, to Spuller and so he got his first appearance in the Austrian Bundesliga . In the game against FC Red Bull Salzburg on September 27, 2008, he came into play in the 73rd minute for Cem Atan . In addition, Spuller played one half of the legendary game against SK Sturm Graz on October 18, 2008 , which Graz clearly dominated 5-0 up to the first half, but only narrowly won 6-5 in the end.
