Ronnie Specter is a makeup artist .

Life

Specter began her career on the film staff in 1984 in the horror comedy Ghoulies by director Luca Bercovici . In 1989 she first worked with Michelle Pfeiffer on The Fabulous Baker Boys . This resulted in a long-term collaboration; Until 2017, Specter worked on 22 film and television productions as a personal make-up artist for Pfeiffer. She also did the make-up of Kim Basinger more than a dozen times . She has worked under such renowned directors as Tim Burton , Martin Scorsese , Robert Zemeckis and Blake Edwards . In 1993 , Specter was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Make-up and Best Hairstyles for Tim Burton's superhero film Batman Returns with Ve Neill and Stan Winston, but that year the award went to Francis Ford Coppola's vampire film Bram Stoker's Dracula .

In addition to her film engagements, Specter has also worked for television, including the series Saving Grace and Mistresses . For her work on the television film Poor Rich Girl - The Story of Barbara Hutton , she was awarded a Primetime Emmy in 1988 .
