Rosetta LeNoire

Rosetta LeNoire (* 8. August 1911 in New York City as a Rosetta Olive Burton ; † 17th March 2002 ) was an American actress .

At the age of 15 she performed together with her godfather Bill “Bojangles” Robinson . In 1939 she made it to Broadway with him . The piece was called "The Hot Mikado". From 1968 she ran her own musical theater, a non-profit company with a multicultural cast. For this she received the Richard L. Coe Award . She was best known for her role in the US sitcom All Under One Roof (original title: "Family Matters"). She died of diabetes on March 17, 2002 at the age of 90 .
