Ross Butler

Ross Fleming Butler (born May 17, 1990 in Singapore ) is an American actor . He became famous for the role of Zach Dempsey from the television series Dead Girls Don't Lie .

Career

Ross Butler was born in Singapore in May 1990 to a Malaysian - Chinese mother. At the age of four, his single mother moved with him to the United States in Fairfax , Virginia .

Butler first studied molecular biotechnology at Ohio State University . Striving for an acting career, however, he moved to Los Angeles and began taking acting classes at the age of 21.

In 2012, Butler made his acting debut in the television movie The Gateway Life . He was then seen in several serial pilots before making a guest appearance in the MTV dramedy Happyland . 2015 he had each roles in the TV movies Perfect High alongside Bella Thorne and in the Disney Channel Original Movie Teen Beach 2 .

He gained fame with the supporting role of Brett Willis in Disney Channel - sitcom K. C. Undercover , in which he played the friend of KC, played by Zendaya , and an enemy spy in several episodes . As a hunter , he also had a supporting role in Chasing Life . In 2016, Butler starred as Nathan in the sixth season of Teen Wolf .

In 2017, Butler starred as Reggie Mantle in the first season of The-CW- Dramedy Riverdale and as Zach Dempsey in the Netflix series Dead Girls Don't Lie . Due to his tight schedule, Butler was replaced by Charles Melton in Riverdale so he could not be in front of the camera for the second season of Dead Girls Lies .
