Running Scared is an English-language ballad by the Azerbaijani duo Ell & Nikki . It is the winning song of the Eurovision Song Contest 2011 , which took place in Düsseldorf . It is the first victory for Azerbaijan at the ESC .
The song was written by the Swedes Stefan Örn , Sandra Bjurman and Iain Farguhanson. This had already in 2010 for the Azerbaijani Euro Vision Post Drip Drop by Safura shown responsible.
Eurovision Song Contest
Ell & Nikki qualified on May 10, 2011 via the first semi-final for the final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2011, which took place on May 14. They reached 221 points with their song Running Scared and won the Grand Prix.
