In four years at Widzew, interrupted by a two-year stint at Śląsk Wrocław , he scored 16 goals in 99 missions, which made the German first division relegated Hansa Rostock aware of him and signed him from 1992.

In the 1992/93 season Chałaśkiewicz made his debut on July 12, 1992 in the 2nd Bundesliga and completed up to Rostock's promotion to the 1st Bundesliga in the 1994/95 season 89 appearances in the second-highest German division, in which he scored 16 goals for the Hanseaten scored. In the top division, however, Chałaśkiewicz was less successful in the 1995/96 season with just one goal in 18 appearances, scored no goal in 24 appearances in 1996/97 and was after four goalless appearances in the first half of the 1997/98 season at the second division FC Carl Zeiss Jena handed over. There he completed another 15 missions without a goal and left the club, which ended the season on a relegation zone, at the end of the season.

Chałaśkiewicz returned to Widzew Łódź, but could not prevail with only three inserts in the first series in 1998/99 at Widzew and completed the second half in the service of Start Łódź . Subsequently, Chałaśkiewicz joined the German regional league club SV Babelsberg 03 , where he scored three goals in 32 games in his first season. 2000/01 he rose with Babelsberg after four goals in 32 games in the 2nd Bundesliga; with six goals in 29 appearances in 2001/02 , he could not prevent the relegation of Babelsberg and also rose from the Regionalliga 2002/03 after 29 games with twelve goals.

Chałaśkiewicz then moved as a 39-year-old to the upper division KSV Hessen Kassel , for whom he scored 28 goals in 63 missions in two seasons, and let his career end in 2005/06 at the Polish club Zawisza Rzgów .
