The SA des Automobiles SCAP was a French manufacturer of automobiles and engines . SCAP stood for Société de Construction des Automobiles Parisiennes .

Company history

Messrs. Launay and Margaria founded the company in Boulogne-Billancourt in 1912 and began producing automobiles. The brand name was SCAP in 1929 production ended. In addition to the production of own automobiles, built-in engines were supplied to numerous other automobile manufacturers.

In the beginning there were the models 8 CV and 12 CV , which were equipped with slide motors from Ballot . In 1919 the L 10 CV model appeared with a four-cylinder engine .

In 1923 the M model followed with a displacement of 1100 cc . In 1924 the O model with 1500 cm³ displacement replaced the L 10 CV model . 1929 model appeared with rows - eight-cylinder engine with 2000 cc capacity. The vehicles were also used in car races such as the Le Mans 24 Hours .
