The Ice Skate Club Lyss is a Swiss ice hockey club from the city of Lyss , which is best known for the success of the women's team in the 1990s. The men's team at SC Lyss has played in the MySports League since 2019 . The home games of SC Lyss are played in the Seelandhalle in the industrial district of Bernstrasse.
SC Lyss was founded as an association in 1964 and today has almost 300 active and young members. For many years, SC Lyss and its 1st division team were among the top teams despite their modest budget. Sports and social training is carried out in the youth department. The next generation is specifically promoted and supported. The SC Lyss youngsters take part in the championships divided into 6 teams. Children from four years of age are introduced to ice sports in a playful way in the ice skating school.

For the club, which was founded in 1964, the women's division has so far been the more successful, winning the Swiss ice hockey championship three times in the 1990s . After the third success in 1996, the women split off and founded their own association, DHC Lyss .
The men's team of SC Lyss played in the National League B from 1989 and took part in the promotion games for the National League A in 1992. A year later, SC Lyss rose from the NLB. Since then, the club has been a member of the Swiss amateur leagues. After 16 years in the classic 1st division, SC Lyss was promoted to the third-class MySports League in 2019 .
