The Achim / Baden game community is a joint handball department of TV Baden and TSV Achim 1860 in the North German Handball Association . It is best known for the men's handball team of the 2nd Bundesliga (North), the top-class team in the Bremen area until 2008. The home of SG Achim-Baden is the Lower Saxon town of Achim near Bremen in the Verden district . After the 2007/08 season, the SG Achim / Baden rose from the 2nd Bundesliga to the league, because the club was refused the license. On April 21, 2009 he was promoted back to the regional league.

Structure of the SG

The SG Achim / Baden unites four men's teams, one women's team and various youth teams.

The SG Achim / Baden logo combines the colors of TV Baden, an association from the Achim district of Baden , and TSV Achim. It shows a handball that is black on the left and red on the right, connected by the outline of a throwing handball player and provided with the writing SG Achim Baden Handball .

A consortium of various (small and large) sponsors forms the framework for the activities of SG Achim / Baden. The current main sponsors are Krone Filtertechnik GmbH and Lifepark GmbH . In order to become more independent from a single sponsor and to root handball more firmly in the greater Bremen area, the Club of 100 was founded at the beginning of April 2007 , which is open to several (initially 100) small sponsors and with whose help money is collected.

Venue

The home games of SG Achim / Baden are played in the sports hall of the Cato Bontjes van Beek grammar school in Achim with a capacity of 380 spectators. Some games will take place in Hall 7, next to the Bremen City Hall.
