SG Andrea Doria Genoa was a Genoese football club and was founded in 1895.

The club's name goes back to the Italian admiral Andrea Doria from the 16th century. In 1927 the merger with SG Sampierdarenese to AC la Dominante Genua followed , and in 1930 the name was changed to AC Liguria . This merger was resolved in 1945 and the club again played under its original name. On August 1, 1946, the two clubs merged again under the name Sampdoria Genua , which is made up of both club names.
