Saša Ćirić ( Macedonian Саша Ќириќ ; born January 11, 1968 in Kumanovo , SFR Yugoslavia ) is a former Macedonian football player on the position of a striker .

career

The Kumanovo-born Macedonian national player began his career at Sloga Skopje . His next stop was FK Metalurg Skopje . From there he moved to Pelister Bitola . Via CSKA Sofia and Vardar Skopje , Ćirić came to FC Aarau , from where 1. FC Nürnberg brought him in 1997 for 1 million Swiss francs.

In 1999 Saša Ćirić went to Tennis Borussia Berlin for 4 million marks . 1. FC Nürnberg had to sell him, who absolutely wanted to stay and get promoted again, in order to ensure his financial survival. After Tennis Borussia Berlin's license was withdrawn, he returned to the Bundesliga in 2000 and moved to Eintracht Frankfurt on a free transfer , where he again worked with coach Felix Magath . In 2002 the Macedonian moved to the club again and finally ended his career in 2006 with the Offenbacher Kickers . Later he was still active for Victoria Erlangen .

Private

Saša Ćirić was a crowd favorite because of his tireless commitment at all of his clubs. He is married to Svetlana and has two children.
