Salish is a language family in North America that produced 23 languages. It occurs primarily in British Columbia , Canada and Washington State in the United States . It is one of the indigenous American languages .

The language code according to ISO 639-2 is "sal".

There are an estimated 2500 speakers left.

Classification of the Salish languages

Bella Coola
