Samuel O'Reilly
Samuel O'Reilly (* Ireland ; † 1908 in Brooklyn , New York City ) was an Irish - American inventor and tattoo artist .
Life
O'Reilly discovered that the machine called Thomas Edison's Stencil Pen, after a modification he had made, offered the possibility of pricking ink under the skin. For the first time in 1891, O'Reilly had an electric tattoo machine , a tattoo gun , patented. He had his own tattoo shop in Chatham Square, New York City.
