Sandra Kreisler (born November 9, 1961 in Munich ) is an actress, sings literary chansons , publishes articles in various free publications, works as a chanson interpretation coach and as a speaker in Vienna and Berlin .

Life

Sandra Kreisler is the daughter of Georg Kreisler's third marriage to Topsy Küppers . She also has a brother (Alexander, * 1960) and a half-brother (Thomas, 1942–2006) from her father's first marriage to Philine Hollaender, Friedrich Hollaender's daughter . She is a US citizen, has lived in Berlin (previously Vienna) since 2005 and has a second home in Switzerland.

Movie and TV

She starred in numerous films and TV series in the USA, England, Italy, Germany and Austria. She has worked with well-known film directors such as Damiano Damiani ( RAI / 2nd Unitel), Dan Curtis (ABC International), Claus Peter Witt ( ZDF / Wolfgang Rademann ), Peter Patzak and Susanne Zanke ( ORF ). Kreisler worked in this area together with colleagues such as Ben Kingsley , Sir John Gielgud , Jane Seymour , Robert Mitchum , Caterina Valente , Klaus Wildbolz , Julia Stemberger and many others.

Numerous appearances in German TV shows ( Fliege , Nachtcafé , Böttinger , Mitternachtsspitzen etc.), since 1994, apart from film productions, exclusively musical work, mainly as a solo artist.

As a spokeswoman

Sandra Kreisler describes her work as a spokeswoman as "renting voice" (self-definition). Since 1982 she has been a regular speaker in radio broadcasts (mainly in the Ö1 program of the Austrian Broadcasting Corporation), for commercials and as a dubbing voice .

Theater and music

Between 1983 and 1994, Sandra Kreisler played at Viennese theaters such as the Theater in der Josefstadt , Gruppe 80, various city theaters in the Austrian federal states and numerous small and touring theaters. Here she often played serious pieces ( Bauer , Bruckner, Chekhov , Euripides etc.) but also comedies, musical revues or cabaret programs.

Appearances and tours in Germany, USA, Czech Republic, Poland, Spain, Switzerland followed. Her aim is to get literary chanson out of the "cabaret corner" and to anchor it again as an independent and modern art form in people's minds.

Sandra Kreisler and her partner Roger Stein , who is responsible for the text and music, and occasionally three musicians (violin, cello, drums) have been on the road since 2006 . Their music combines elements of classical chamber music with those of pop, rock and even hip-hop metrics. Musically she describes herself as " Diseuse ". She sells her CDs through the trade (distribution: BrokenSilence), the Internet (all download portals and website) and at appearances. In addition to her stage work, she also works as a stage coach and freelance teaches "AWS" acting while singing, the American version of "chanson and song interpretation".
