The titular church Sant'Anselmo all'Aventino ( Latin : Sancti Anselmi in Aventino ) is also the abbey church of the Primate Abbey of Sant'Anselmo in Rome and is dedicated to Saint Anselm of Canterbury .

The Congregation of Benedictines had the church, designed by Hildebrand de Hemptinne and Francesco Vespignani built in 1892 and the 1896th On November 11, 1900, the consecration took place by Cardinal Secretary of State Mariano Rampolla del Tindaro .
