Sasha Pieterse
Sasha Pieterse (born February 17, 1996 in Johannesburg ) is a South African- born American actress and singer .
life and career
Sasha Pieterse was born in February 1996 in the South African city of Johannesburg as the daughter of professional dancers . Her parents lived in Las Vegas after she was born before moving to Los Angeles . Already in her childhood she was enthusiastic about the stage and appeared in various commercials for Nesquik and Firestone Tires . She had her first appearances in 2002 as Buffy Davis in the series Family Affair , which was discontinued after only one season. This was followed in 2005 by a leading role in the comedy The Adventures of Sharkboy and Lavagirl in 3-D by Robert Rodriguez as Marissa Electricidad , as well as two guest appearances in the short-lived TNT series Wanted , where she again worked with actor Gary Cole . She was also featured in a second season episode of Dr. House as a cancer patient.
In 2007 she finally appeared in the two films The Air I Breathe - The Power of Fate , where she played a younger portrayal of Sorrow ( Sarah Michelle Gellar ), and The Lucky Charm . On television, Sasha was again in a bigger role as Amanda Strazzulla in the NBC series Heroes in 2009 as well as in the web series Heroes: Slow Burn . In 2010, Sasha landed a leading role as Alison DiLaurentis in the television series Pretty Little Liars , which is based on the Sara Shepard book series of the same name . In 2011, as 14-year-old Marie Dubois, she was in the series finale of the CBS series Medium - Nothing Remains Hidden .
