history

Until the church is planted

It was first mentioned in a document in 928. Schönberg belonged to the Landshut Rent Office and the Neumarkt Regional Court of the Electorate of Bavaria. In the course of the administrative reforms in Bavaria, today's municipality was created with the municipal edict of 1818.

Incorporations

On January 1, 1970, the previously independent municipality Aspertsham was incorporated.

Religions

Catholic parishes exist in Schönberg and Aspertsham. The former parish church in Schönberg should have been built in the 12th century, the current one between 1911 and 1914.
