Schaghajegh Nosrati (born April 16, 1989 in Bochum ) is a German pianist .

Life

Schaghajegh Nosrati's parents, Masoud and Faravak Nosrati, came from Iran . After the Islamic Revolution in 1979 they were subjected to massive political persecution, had to break off their studies and fled to Germany in 1983. Classical music traditionally played a major role in the family and the daughter received her first piano lessons at the age of only 4, before she became a student of the Recklinghausen pianist and piano researcher Rainer Maria Klaas at the age of eight . In 2007 she was accepted as a young student by Einar Steen-Nøkleberg at the Hanover University of Music, Drama and Media . In 2015 she completed her master's degree at this institute with Christopher Oakden and in 2017 the concert exam with Ewa Kupiec .
