Impact compulsion

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Impact force is engaged in various board games existing rule that the players at the train an opponent's game piece has to beat if it is possible according to the rules. For example, there is a compulsion to hit in classic checkers and robber chess . With different variants of the board game fox and geese there is sometimes a rule-related one-sided compulsion to hit the "fox" side.

If there are several possibilities to hit at once, the player is usually free to decide which one to take. With the Turkish Queen and the Italian Queen , unlike most other queen variants, you always have to choose the move in which the most stones are captured.

In games such as classic chess , backgammon or Mensch ärgere dich nicht , however, there is no compulsion to hit. An opponent's token does not have to be captured, even if this is possible.
