The Slim Augentrost ( Euphrasia micrantha ) is a plant type from the genus Augentrost ( Euphrasia ) in the family of broomrape plants (Orobanchaceae).

description

The slender eyebright is a 3 to 25 cm tall, semi-parasitic , little branched plant. The leaves are covered on both sides with one to six pointed teeth, they are bald or slightly hairy.

The inflorescences are terminal and appear only after at least five internodes . The crown is only between 4.5 and 6.5 mm long. They are lavender or purple in color.

The fruits are capsule fruits , which are surmounted by the constant calyx.

The number of chromosomes is 2n = 44.

Occurrence

The species occurs in numerous European countries. It grows on mountain meadows and grasslands. It prefers moderately fresh, acidic, sandy and loamy soil or gypsum that is poor in lime and nutrients. It occurs in companies of the Genistion Association.
